Kent Hills

The Kent Hills wind facility is located on Crown land southwest of Moncton, New Brunswick in the Kent Hills area. It was the first wind facility in the province.

The project was completed in three phases in cooperation with local development partner Natural Forces Technologies Inc..

Phase I & II consist of 49 V90-3.0 megawatt Vestas turbines, each on 80-metre towers with a 45-metre blade length. Construction of Phase I began in the spring of 2008 and was completed December 31, 2008. Phase II began construction in spring 2010 and was completed in early December 2010.

Phase III consists of 5 V126-3.45 megawatt Vestas turbines, each on 117-metre towers with a 63-metre blade length. 49 V90-3.0 megawatt Vestas turbines, each on 80-metre towers with a 45-metre blade length. Construction of the third phase began in April 2018 and was completed in October 2018.

The facility represents the largest wind facility in New Brunswick and produces 580,000 megawatt-hours annually.
