Spring has arrived! And other Alberta electricty market news

Spring has arrived in Calgary with temperatures expecting to reach over 20 degrees this week, the first time since
October! The unfortunate circumstance with warm weather is flooding across Alberta again this season. The price
of power averaged $32.09/MWh, a 12% decrease week over week. Shepard Energy Centre came back online this
morning and forward prices remain steady.

Gas prices continue to decrease settling $0.04/GJ lower than last week at $1.10/GJ. With Alberta Bill 12 and
similar legislation in Saskatchewan being discussed to restrict energy shipments to BC, the oversupply of gas in
the province is expected to continue.

Medicine Hat is home to natural gas reserves, cryptocurrency mining, and now has companies investing in land
for cannabis production. The city continues to diversify away from its Oil & Gas reputation and is set to have the
largest cannabis facility in the world creating 450 jobs.
