TransAlta is proud to continue our tradition of community involvement through support for the renovation of Tiger Stadium at Centralia High School. With the project now complete, Centralia High School is once again able to host track meets for the first time in nearly six years.
TransAlta was the primary contributor to the stadium renovation project with a donation of $300,000.
On Friday evening, October 8, a capacity crowd watched Centralia High School’s inaugural football game at the renovated stadium. TransAlta representative Richard DeBolt joined Lewis County Commissioners Ron Averill and Bill Schulte as well as representatives from the Lewis County Public Facilities District, Centralia School Board, and the City of Centralia at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark Centralia School District’s official reopening of the stadium.
The track bears the name “TransAlta” and the company logo “Energizing the Future” in recognition of the company’s contribution.
Over the past decade TransAlta and its employees have dedicated countless service hours and contributed more than $10 million to programs throughout the local community and region such as the renovation at Tiger Stadium.
