Wabamun Decommissioning

Shut down activities for Wabamun power plant began in 2002 and are expected to continue until after 2010. The project schedule is as follows:

TransAlta submitted a detailed remediation and reclamation plan to Alberta Environment in December 2005, following extensive environmental research, stakeholder consultation and analysis.
