New Richmond

Situé dans la municipalité régionale de comté de Bonaventure, en Gaspésie, le projet New Richmond comprendra 33 éoliennes Enercon E82 de 2 MW, qui produiront, selon les estimations, 178 700 MWh d’énergie renouvelable par année. Le coût en capital du projet est estimé à 190 M$. Si les approbations des organismes de réglementation, notamment l’autorisation de la Régie de l’énergie, et le financement nécessaire sont obtenus, la mise en exploitation de ce projet devrait avoir lieu en décembre 2012.

Il créera, lors de la phase de préparation et de construction, une centaine d’emplois pendant six mois et près de 200 emplois en période de pointe. De cinq à dix emplois permanents sont prévus lors de l’exploitation du parc.

Located in the Regional County Municipality of Bonaventure in the Gaspé Peninsula, the New Richmond Wind Project will consist of 33, 2 MW, E82 Enercon wind turbines that will generate an estimated 178,700 MWh per year of renewable power. The anticipated capital cost of the project is $190 million. The target in-service date of this project is December 2012 and is subject to regulatory approvals, including approval from Le Régie de L’Énergie, and financing.

During the first six months of the development and construction phase, approximately 100 jobs will be created, followed by nearly 200 jobs at the peak of construction. We anticipate between five and 10 permanent jobs will be created for the operation of the wind farm.
