A powerful force in New Brunswick

TransAlta was the first to bring commercial wind power to New Brunswick. In 2008, our 96 megawatt Kent Hills facility began operation. In 2010, our 54 megawatt expansion of Kent Hills achieved commercial operation. The Kent Hills Wind Facility now carries a nameplate capacity of 150 MW, producing enough electricity for approximately 26,300 average homes. New Brunswick has tremendous wind energy potential and we are committed to helping harness its promise while reinforcing our reputation as a safe operator, and as a contributing member to the communities in which we operate.
