The signing of the TransAlta Energy Transition Bill established opportunities for the company to plan long-term growth across the Pac NW. Dedicated to a cleaner energy future, we believe we are uniquely suited to fill the need for replacement generation with new capacity that reduces emissions while providing secure, reliable power at affordable rates.

Retaining a competitive position in Washington State and across the region, TransAlta is looking into future generation opportunities, such as plans to construct a large-scale natural gas plant at the existing Centralia site.
