Canadian Hydro Developers integration

TransAlta acquired the assets of Canadian Hydro Developers in November, 2009. The transaction included excellent facilities operated by talented and dedicated people.

Integration of former Canadian Hydro Developers staff into the TransAlta workplace is a process that will take many months. Immediately following the transaction, a thorough assessment of all redundant positions was undertaken. The process was quick and fair, and ultimately affected people from both companies.

All former Canadian Hydro Developers facilities remain operational; the only closures involved office locations.
