Global Reporting Initiative index

TransAlta’s 2009 Report on Sustainability was prepared using the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. We have self-declared a B+ GRI Application level. Although most of the elements of the GRI are addressed in this report and various other public documents, TransAlta created the tables with this section of the report to summarize the standard disclosures required by the reporting guidelines. In addition, a select number of the GRI Electricity Sector Supplement (EU) most relevant to our business are also included.
